Abstract
Assertiveness is one of the fundamental rights of children that parents should observe and plan for in a targeted manner. They should raise their children in a way that they become assertive and independent. This upbringing should be effectively ingrained in the children’s personalities and behaviors so that they can have the self-confidence and courage to face challenges and different situations in life, because assertiveness is considered an important component of communication in society. An assertive person can establish close relationships with others and express a wide range of needs and positive and negative thoughts. The present article is based on a library method and descriptive-analytical processing. In this article, facilitating and practical strategies to increase assertiveness among children, as well as effective parenting styles in families, including permissive, authoritarian, and authoritative styles, and how to apply assertiveness strategies among children in these types of families were examined. The results of the studies show that the facilitating and practical strategies of assertiveness can be better applied in authoritative families.
